Historic Natural Spring

The naturalist in you will enjoy the cold, clear water from the historic spring tucked behind the Cold Springs United Methodist Church in Concord. It can be a little hard to find, but if you wander behind the church you’ll discover a masterfully-built stone rotunda with steps leading down to the well. Bring an empty cup and refresh yourself! Or, bring a jug or two to fill and take on home. Locals, church-goers and weary travelers have been drinking the water here since the early 1800’s. Y’all bring a sandwich too, because the church built a lovely picnic shelter so you can enjoy God’s other beautiful blessings like trees and singing birds.
